Employee Ownership Foundation Exceeds 2011 Las Vegas Fundraising Goal

With generous contributions from the ESOP community, the Employee Ownership Foundation not only met its fundraising goal of $75,000 but exceeded it at the November 3 – 4, 2011 Conference and Trade Show at Caesars Palace. It was an all-time, one-time amount of approximately $100,000.

“The spirit of ESOP advocates at the Las Vegas Conference was overwhelming. The Thursday lunch highlighting the work of the Kelso Fellows was proof dollars to the Foundation means an expansion of knowledge and appreciation of employee ownership through ESOPs in America,” stated Employee Ownership Foundation President, J. Michael Keeling.”

The largest single donation came from a corporate member of the Association, Recology, Inc., located in San Francisco, CA. The employee owners of the company and supporters donated approximately $43,000 to the Foundation. The recently deceased Dan R. Bannister, and former chair of the Foundation, directed in his will a contribution of $25,000 be given from his estate to the Foundation.
