Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts officially proclaims October to be Employee Stock Ownership Plan Month in the State of Nebraska during a ceremony held in Lincoln, Nebraska on October 14, 2105. The Communications Team from Travel and Transport, Inc. met with the Governor to accept the Proclamation.
Iowa Governor Terry Branstad officially proclaims October to be Employee Ownership Month in the State of Iowa during an official signing ceremony held at the Governor’s office on September 29, 2015. The signing was witnessed by several Iowa/Nebraska Chapter members.
A proclamation is an easy way to alert your elected officials to ESOPs in their community, district, or state. A proclamation is issued by a legislative body designating an official observance of Employee Ownership Month. You can ask your mayor, state representative, or governor to issue a proclamation.

The poster was designed by ASU Group, an employee-owned company located in Okemos, Michigan. The winning poster design was unveiled at the Association’s 38th Annual Conference in Washington, DC. ASU Group’s poster was chosen as the 2015 winner because of the idea it expressed: Flying as a team gives our ESOP wings. The winning poster also graced the cover of this year’s Employee Ownership Month Planning Kit.
